What is an abdomen diastasis ?

  • a separation in the abdomen that occurs when the tissue between the rectus abdominis muscles—the two sides of your “six pack”—stretches or tears at the central vertical line

  • Rectus abdomini diastasis is a spacing of more than 2 cm between the rectus abdomini muscles. It can be congenital or acquired.

DIFFERENTIAL DIAGNOSIS

  • Diastasis recti is a condition in which the muscles in the abdomen separate, resulting in a gap between the left and right abdominal muscles. This gap can sometimes cause a bulge in the abdomen, which may be mistaken for excess belly fat.
  • Visceral fat, on the other hand, is a type of fat that is stored within the abdominal cavity and surrounds the internal organs. It is not visible from the outside and cannot be felt by touch.

CONTRA INDICATIONS & INDICATIONS

  • If the gap between the left and right abdominal muscles is too wide , it will be difficult with Endopeel techniques to close this gap and there will be no results or poor results.
